Doves of Peace
Outside the sleepless city of Ayia Napa lies the most eastern pointed controlled by the European Union, Cape Greco. Κάβο Γκρέκο, in Greek, is the most eastern pointed controlled by the European Union. The monument erected at Cape Greco’s highest point contain the ‘Doves of Peace.’ Due to the Turkish occupation of the northern 40% of Cyprus, Cape Greco is not the most eastern point on the island of Cyprus. The Doves of Peace symbolize the hope that one day all of Cyprus can be united under flag.
