Kimberly Miller
My name is Kimberly Miller, and I am a Journalism and Electronic Media student with a concentration in Video Production, minoring in Cinema Studies at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Coming from Murfreesboro, TN. I didn’t experience much “culture” as a kid. I was always interested in the lives of others and the world outside of the United States. After I graduated high school in 2008 I spent nearly a month in southern Germany, my first time abroad. That 3-week trip didn’t satiate my thirst for travel one bit, if anything it only exacerbated it… And three years later, I found myself doing anything I possibly could to get to this beautiful island.
I want to completely immerse myself in this culture and see what it is really like to be a citizen of this country. It fascinates me that people who have grown up in the same time as I have can lead such different lives. Now that I have been here for over 24 hours, I can’t wait to see what the rest of this trip has in store for me.
